Enrolment requirements

  • Students are required to complete ANTS Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills prior to enrolment. This will be completed with a trainer.
  • Once LLN level is recognized, enrolment can proceed.
  • Must have a valid USI
  • At least 15 years of age
  • Enrolment documents must be completed, along with other mandatory requirements i.e. Police Check, Working with Children Check
  • Payment of fees.
    • Fee for Service – refer to individual courses for fee information.
    • Federal and State funding is available to eligible applicants, refer to funding page for eligibility requirements
  • Enrolment documents can be issued to students:
    • in person by visiting our main office at 3-5/818 Old Princes Highway, Sutherland,
    • or contacting us by phone and they can be emailed or posted,
    • or downloaded.

Prior to enrolling in one of our programs students will receive a Letter of offer and Training plan.

This will include:

  • Attendance days and times
  • Addresses with maps
  • Trainer’s details
  • What the student needs to bring and wear
  • Clinical and Work placement requirements and expectations
  • Required documents to print
  • Student Handbook
  • Student Fees

How long does the course take?

Our course lengths vary between 22 weeks up to 24 months, depending on the qualification you choose and individual aptitude.

If I don’t want to continue the course after day 1 can I stop without paying?

Students will be refunded as per our refund policy (See student handbook). An administration fee will be retained.

Will I get practical experience in the workplace?

All students are required to complete work placement. This placement will include hands on training and assessment.

Will I learn any first aid?

All students can complete a first aid course with ANTS. ANTS encourages students to participate in First Aid training prior to attending work placement.

What courses are available?

Australian Nursing and Training Services (ANTS) offers the following courses.

  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual support (Ageing, Disability and/or Home and Community)
  • CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing support.
  • CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
  • CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and health
  • HLT33115 Certificate III in Health services assistance (Assisting in nursing work in acute care)
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID012 Provide emergency basic life support

Is there Government subsidy available?

NSW State Government subsidy is available for the eligible students,

You are eligible if:

  • 15 years old or over?
  • No longer at school?
  • Living or working in NSW?
  • An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen?
  • If you answered ‘Yes’to all four questions, then you’re eligible to enrol in a government-subsidised course with an approved Smart and Skilled training provider like Australian Nursing and Training Services.
