Entry Requirements
There are no formal academic requirements for this course, however Australian Nursing and Training Services requires that all students:- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Undertake a pre-enrolment interview / initial skill assessment.
- Must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent level of schooling.
- Have a moderate level of computer literacy.
- Meet evidentiary requirements for country of origin.
- Must have Academic IELTS 6.0 (with no individual band less than 5.5) or equivalent.
Assessment
The course will be presented in competency-based mode and the student’s competency will be assessed at all levels according to competencies and performance criteria. The training package for each competency specifies the conditions and method of assessment. Assessment methods range from completing set tasks and activities, class attendance and participation, completion of assignments / projects and practical demonstrations in a simulated or workplace environment.Important Information

Movement & Mobility Support Specialisation (Elective Units)

Work Placement
- Students will attend the mandatory work placement after completing the face-to-face theory and simulated training. The placement will include both training and assessment.
- Australian Nursing and Training Services (ANTS) arranges work placements for students.
- All students must complete a minimum of 120 hours of work placement in a clinical placement to be deemed competent for this qualification.
- Along with your police check, we also recommend obtaining HLTAID011 Provide first aid prior to commencing your placement. If you choose the Disability or Home and Community specialisation you will also need to obtain a working with children check.
- Some facilities may also require you to provide Immunisation records/evidence, (COVID-19 & Flu Vaccines are required in all Accredited Residential Care Facilities, if you are not vaccinated the facility may not accept you).
Uniform requirement
You will be required to provide your own uniform for work placement, please see the detailed description below.- Navy or black pants – NO JEANS
- White short-sleeved collared shirt (Polo Shirt is fine)
- Flat, black, closed in non-slip shoes. NO CANVAS SHOES
- Tie your hair up, clean short nails, and limit your jewellery and makeup
