Qualification Description

The Statement of Attainment in Individual support (CPR and First Aid) will enable to develop basic knowledge and skills to provide a first response to a casualty and to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The basic knowledge and skills will highly be crucial to any Industry to ensure an emergency is well responded. The training can provide a path to become a designated First Aid officer in your workplace or take the first steps towards career pathways in nursing or community work.

Target Group

This skill set is for individuals who are young and between the age group of 16-24 years old.

Entry Requirements

There are no academic requirements or pre-requisites for this qualification, however, the student must:

  • Be 15 years of age
  • have sound communication skills
  • undertake and complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment
  • Must have a valid USI
  • Police check
  • Influenza vaccination before they attend work placement.
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination certificate required ( Unless medical exemption is provided )

Student will need to meet the required ACSF levels and Foundation Skills requirements to successfully complete the course. If students do not meet these requirements, students may be required to complete additional foundation skills training with an approved provider prior to commencing this qualification.
