Entry Requirements

There are no academic requirements or pre-requisites for this qualification, however, the student must:

  • Be 15 years of age
  • have sound communication skills
  • Must have a valid USI
  • Police check
  • Influenza vaccination before they attend work placement.
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination certificate required ( Unless medical exemption is provided )

Units from this skill set can contribute to credit towards HLT3315 Health Service Assistance and other relevant courses where infection control skills are required.

Target Group

This skill set is for individuals who require the skills and knowledge to decrease the risk of and transmission of infection whilst carrying out their daily duties.

You will be able to obtain a statement of Attainment after successful competition of this unit of competency from the HLT Health Training Package provides a set of skills for implementing infection control policies and procedures in the workplace
